Cross Number Math

  1. Open the BBC link to Cross Number Puzzle 1.
  2. Print out the page.
  3. Open a new document in Microsoft Word.
  4. Insert a table that has 4 columns and 11 rows.
  5. Label the table columns according to the following example.
What do I need to know to solve the problem? Where did I find the information? What did I learn? Explain how to solve the problem
       
       
       

 

 

     

  1. Fill in the chart for each question on the puzzle.
  2. Fill in the answers on the puzzle sheet.
  3. Turn in both sheets to your teacher. Be sure your name is on them.

What do I need to know to solve the problem? Where did I find the information? What did I learn? Explain how to solve the problem

I need to know how many edges and faces that a cube has.

I also need to know what the face of a cube is.

I counted the edges and sides on a cube.

A face is a flat surface of a three dimesional shape.

A cube has 12 edges and 6 faces.

12 edges - 6 faces = 6
