Breakfast Book Club is a fun and exciting idea that was created in 2002 by Mrs. Long, (librarian) Mrs. Mateer, (6^th grade) and Mrs. Dellaposta (5^th grade). Students gather once a month in the elementary library to discuss great books and have a delicious breakfast. The group consists of 10 fifth graders and 10 sixth graders. Some titles we have read are Things Not Seen, Tangerine, Ruby Holler and Fever. The group over the years has created missing person posters from the series, Series of Unfortunate Events, created stumper book quizzes, and learned about the art of book illustration from Mr. Hartnett (Art Teacher).
