LIBRARY POLICY ON RETURNING BOOKS

All students need to return library materials on the day they come to Library Class.  For example:  If Max Smith has library on Day 1, every Day 1 he needs to return his library books.

If Max Smith wants to get the book again, he can renew it as many times as needed.

Students in grades K-1-2 can check out 1 book.

Students in grade 3 can check out 3-4 books.

Students in grades 4-5-6 can check out 3-4 books. (Or more, if needed for a report or for research.)

*If a student loses a book he/she is responsible for paying for it at the library's purchase price.

OVERDUE BOOK POLICY

If a book is two weeks overdue, students will receive a written notice stating their book is overdue.

If the book is three weeks overdue, a letter will be sent to their parents reminding them to return their book.

If the book is MORE than three weeks overdue, the principal will contact the parents.

DAMAGED BOOK POLICY

Students who damage a book beyond repair are required to pay the library's purchase price for the book.

A student who damages a book will not be able to check out another book until the damaged book is paid in full.
