Evergreen Boys & Girls Clubs of Indiana County will be changing its name and logo over the course of the coming week.
The official roll out will begin via Facebook at 6:00 PM Wednesday evening via a club member produced video. Each of the remaining 5 club sites will also produce a “Roll Out” video that will broadcast the following evening on the organization’s Facebook page beginning at 6:00 PM. The public is asked to like and share their favorite video. The club site video with the greatest amount of likes and shares will earn the members a pizza party for their club site. “This method of revealing the new organizational name and logo is an excellent way to highlight the STEAM curriculum that club members learn in our program on a daily basis.” Said David Janusek, Director of Operations/Learning Specialist.
The organization will change its name to Evergreen After School Club effective this week. “The name change better aligns our name with the programs that we provide” said Louis Sacco, EASC Board President. The logo, which was designed by Fast Times of Indiana, PA will feature two evergreen trees. A larger one in conjunction with a smaller tree. The design not only symbolizes the important role that the EASC staff plays in the guidance of Indiana county’s youth, but also pays homage to Indiana County’s rich the Christmas Tree heritage.
The changes also signal the organization’s departure from the one time parent organization of The Boys and Girls Clubs of America. “By becoming Evergreen After School Club it guarantees that the organization and its programs will stay locally based in Indiana County and more effectively serve the needs of Indiana County youth” Said Sacco.
