Senior Tax Exemption Program

The STEP Program (Senior Tax Exemption Program) is for current Homer-Center School District residents, age 55 or older, who pay school property taxes.  A person or family can earn a tax credit up to $1,320 per year (at a rate of $11.00 per hour) or the amount of their school real estate tax, whichever is less, for volunteer services.  The STEP Program application is below.
