Anthony Cotroneo Piano Restoration Project
Mr. Cotroneo was a highly regarded music teacher at Homer City and Laura Lamar High Schools – the forerunners of what is now Homer-Center High School - from 1953 until a tragic automobile accident took his life at the age of forty-two, after just setting out for the annual school picnic at Idlewild Park on June 1, 1964. The Baldwin Grand Piano was purchased and dedicated by the school in his memory in 1965. The piano was restored in 2021 and rededicated in honor of Mr. Cotroneo April 22, 2021.
